Great Kids Rooms!

Everyone around me is either pregnant, just had a baby, trying for a baby, or wants a baby! So - to inspire all of these wonderful people in my life.... here are some great kids rooms from baby to teenager bedrooms - here are some great finds! What a fun and interesting headboard.
This is a great space. Lot's of play room, and that rolling ladder leads to such a fun secret spot.

Designed by Jonathan Adler - so girly and fun! Super kitschy. I love this.

I really love love love this bedding, it's still girly - but its got a cool vibe with the zebra print.

This is full on trend! The color combo and toile is beautiful and love that pillows that were made.

A great room for a cool kid that can grow into this room. Once he gets a little bit older, just lose the stuffed animals and the room total adjusts!

This is such a sweet baby room. If I had a little baby girl, this would be pretty close to what I would want from the colors, to the side chair, the hanging lighting lamp.... it all works! So precious!

Cool Holiday Gift Alert

This is a brilliant gift idea/stocking stuffer for almost anyone who has a desk job. It's a desktop ipod speaker from the Container Store. This would be an awesome idea for Secret Santa, a co-worker, or even the college student. The price is also great too - $9.99.... can't be that!

Another One Bites the Dust

I am getting pretty fed up with constantly finding out that fantastic publications are being discontinued. We are all still deeply mourning Domino. And then went Gourmet and Southern Accents, and now sadly- Metropolitan Home is going to magazine heaven as well and this is their final cover.

To Quote Elvis...

"Thank you... Thank you very much."

Thanks to Ada-Marie for awarding me with the Kreativ award! I am so honored! She has a kick-ass blog filled with such great design inspiration. So, make sure to check it out!! Thanks again!!

A Lovely Petite Bedroom

This room really gives big impact for being on the small side. I love how balanced it is, especially with those stunning gold mirrors on either side of the bed with the mod lamps. Its dramatic without being over the top. I really like how the crown molding is painted a dark chocolate. It's just a little detail that give a good punch. The pale aqua walls are great and so is the creamy clean bedding. This room is earthy yet glamorous and I love it!

Birdcage Lamp at Urban Outfitters

I just saw this Birdcage Lamp at the Copy Cat Chic and thought it was darling and had to post it. I think 3 of these staggered in a cluster in the corner of a bedroom would be beautiful. www.copycatchic.com and www.urbanoutfitters.com

Take Your Pick...

Would you rather have your hair color set under this salon dryer, or..... Set here.... At the Kim Vo Salon in Las Vegas under these dryers with its luxe comfy seating and glam-o-rama vibe!

My Vintage Trojan Heads

I got these fellas at the Rose Bowl Flea Market a few weekends ago... How amazing are these guys!? I love them. They are so kooky and strange. Very fun and adds some laughter and whimsy to the room.

An Amazing Apartment on a Budget!

So, I came across this living room of two young apartment dwellers at Canadian House and Home and thought it was fantastic and had to share it! I love that piece of plywood covered in a vintage wallpaper leaning against the wall. It's a brilliant idea since usually you can't wallpaper rented spaces, so this adds impact and a great art piece on the cheaps. Also, the majority of the items come from thrift shops that have all been remastered. Check out that red desk chair!! All that involved was some high gloss red spray paint, remnants of fabric and a staple gun.

The Felicia Pillow - at Ikea.

Ikea gives me mixed emotions. I don't know... but I always end up leaving there with crap, I mean yeah... they have a few cool things there, and they do have good organization options. But, in general the whole experience overwhelms me. But, I have to give it to those Swedish folks for the Felicia pillow covers ($8 each). They are a 100% silk pillow cover that come in several beautiful colors and have such great texture to them. They do not look cheap AT ALL and they don't have that "I got them at Ikea" look. http://www.ikea.com/

From the Personal File....

Well here is a seriously glammed out kitchen, and I looooove it!
1. Setting the tone for the glam-o kitchen would be the wallpaper and the chandelier right off the bat.
2. Also, this is a serious kitchen for the fantastic entertainer with the gorgeous, top of the line stainless steel appliances.
3. I am loving the sleekness of it, and the classic feel with the white marble tops, Crystal candle sticks, and white subway tiles for the back splash.
4. I love how even though it has a lot of attitude, its not overwhelming and it feels airy.

Lovely Lovely Lovely!

Gift Idea!

I have been eye-ing these Kaleidoscopic throw blankets at Anthropologie for quite some time and think they would be a fabulous holiday gift, especially if you are doing any traveling and need a great hostess gift. They are so chic and would look absolutely amazing on the arm of any sofa or the end of any bed. Ikat.

From the Personal File....

I love this bedroom! I definitely think it plays well for the feminine/masculine type room. The dark walls are brilliant with the khaki and white color scheme, and I am jocking those pillows with the black wavy trim like crazy! I really love how that black border is continued throughout the room on the lamp shade, the drapes, even there is that border feel on the throw blanket and the nail heads bordering the head board. This is one great looking room!

Viva Terra Ornaments

Well, my mailbox was loaded with catalogs celebrating the start of the holiday season. I flipped thru Viva Terra and loved their organic inspired Christmas ornaments. Yeps, I am one of those Jewish girls that just loves the Christmas spirit! So... there were 3 different sets of ornaments that I thought were stunning that came in agate or quartz. I'd love to see them used on a gorgeous branches only tree, or on a big fluffy fat tree. Whatever your take on them is, they sure will make for an original tree. They also would be gorgeous hanging from a wreath. With these you can get creative! comes in a set of 6.

So, take a seat, grab a lovely glass of wine, and get ready for a fantastic evening of playing dress up in this stunning closet. OMG! To quote Miss Zoe "I Die!"

Thank you! Thank you!

Thanks so much to Emmie, the wonderful blogger of Aspirations of A Southern Housewife for nominating me with the "Kreativ Blogger" Award. It couldn't have come at a more perfect timing because the last week or so, I haven't been blogging much at all, I really needed a break and rejuvinate my creative spirit. This definitely does the trick! Thank you again! www.southernaspirations.blogspot.com

From the Personal File.

Love me some peacock feathers.
1. I love the chinois console table. It's so ornate, its a stunning piece of art.
2. The deep hues on that wallpaper is gorgeous, and it really is an amazing backdrop for the white table and the molding.
3. I love the element of whimsy with the owl chilling on the ground. Very cute, and adds humor.
4. The table-scape is fantastic, the accessories are well placed, and I have that Tom Ford book.

I just came across the cutest gift idea for any woman! It's the lingerie bags from Anna Moi. Aren't these darling. These would be great for traveling and keeping your unmentionables kept in one good place. They are $30 each and a darling gift that no one would expect to receive. Super cute and original.

I kinda need this jacket...

Gift Idea!

Well the holidays are soon approaching! So, of course gift giving will start to be on the mind, and I will be featuring great gift ideas over the next couple of months...

If you need a gorgeous gift for a wonderful friend or relative, I suggest giving a Michael Aram soy candle. They come in 4 different scents: sweet basil, ginko, lemonwood, and lotus blossom. The glass jar that the candle is poured into is just beautiful with its gorgeous sculptured lid so once the candle is completely burned out, it can still be used.
